Can the ECAT Solve the World’s Energy Problems?

Cold fusion is something that everyone has heard talked about from time to time. Most scientists think that the production of energy from cold fusion is impossible because it defies the laws of physics, but according to Andrea Rossi, not only is cold fusion possible, but he has invented a device that creates energy from cold fusion.
If you haven’t heard about this in the News, it is no surprise, Andrea Rossi has had significant difficulty getting support from the scientific community for his ECAT (energy catalyzer) device. As mentioned above, many scientists claim that the production of cold fusion is completely impossible. What’s more, Rossi has yet to publish his findings in any peer journals, mostly because the relevant peer journals, to date, are refusing to publish the information that he is providing saying that it is unsubstantiated.
This has not stopped Rossi from pursuing a patent for the ECAT. He currently already holds an Italian patent for his device and is in the process of procuring a patent for his device in other countries, such as the US and Canada. What’s more, Rossi has demonstrated his device to the press as well as to several other scientists behind closed doors, although there are several videos of these demonstrations available. Reviews regarding his demonstrations are mixed with some people claiming that they saw exciting results while others claim that it is a bunch of smoke and mirrors.
No matter what the scientific community might say regarding the ECAT, the truth is that there is a real possibility here for cheaper ways to produce electricity. What’s more, because the process of producing electricity generates heat, Rossi is looking for ways use his machine for not just energy production but for heat production as well. He believes that he is a mere 2 years away from producing cold fusion devices that can be used commercially and in the home.
