Son in jail

My son made a stupid mistake and wound up in jail. I am worried sick that he might be dealing with other inmates in Santa Rosa, not getting enough food and being hassled by the guards. He has a learning disability and I’m afraid that they will treat him harshly because he’s a bit different than the rest of the general population. Why can’t the courts just put him on an ankle bracelet? He’s not a flight risk and is no threat to the public. I feel like the court system has gotten really messed up in the last few years – when I was younger things seemed a lot more fair.
